Tonight's shiur

Tonight with Reb Yitzchok we continued learning Reb Nosson's writing in L.Tefilot about being young vs.being old. The text linked this concept with tefilin, and inour discussions we talked about how our davening should be different each time, due to both ourselves and the spiritual and physical worlds being different. Reb Yitzchok mentinoed the concept of "Rak HaYom" or "only today".

In other news, Reb Chaim Kramer is slated to come to London in a few weeks - watch this space....

The power of a chasidic story

I read these pages from the book "The garden of yearning", a commentary of Rebbe Nachman's story "The Lost Princess", elucidated by Rav Shalom Arush and translated by Rav Lazer Brody. It can be purchased for not much at http://lazerbrody.typepad.com/

Reb Yitzhock's Shiur moved to Tuesday

The weekly mens shiur, which I highly reccomend, has moved to same time and place, but shall be taking place IYH on Tuesday nights until further notice.

Shabbat Shalom

Have a wonderful shabbos my readers. May it be full of spirituality and joy. Maybe take some time out of the long summer's afternoon to do hisbodedus, or study some of the Rebbe's teachings....

Tonight's shiur

Tonight at Reb Yitzock's we had a discussion on the Rebbe's idea of taking each day as new, and how each hisbodedus and davening of the Rebbe was fresh and different. One of the attendees shared with us a difficulty he feels Hashem has granted him, and we shared advice on how to overcome obstacles in our way.

Much more was discussed, and bezras hashem we'll go on to look at likutei halochos inside to see how Reb Nosson brings down Rebbe Nachman's teachings in this area.

Uman 2008

The matza has all been eaten, and we are springing into summer - it's time to think about spending Rosh Hashanna by the Rebbe in Ukraine - Alitalia are offering flights to Kiev for around £220 for R.H - anybody interested?
also, anybody know anything about tent accommodation in Uman for R.H?
