Nu?

This blog has been relativly quiet recently...

Don't worry - the shuirim at Reb Bell's are continuing. People are planning their Uman trips, and the other week I met a seller of a wide range of Breslov seforim from Stamford Hill.

Please feel free to email the blog, and make suggestions, comments, divrei torah etc.

Press article on Breslov Research Institute shiurim in London

Breslov Research Institute opens U.K. branch with new series of Shiurim

Following the recent successful visit to London of the founder of BRI Yerushalayim, Rabbi Chaim Kramer, the Breslov Research Institute UK is set to launch a new series of shiurim starting next week in Golders Green.

The shiurim will be given by Reb Yitchok Bell, director of the Breslov Research Institute UK. They will be based on “Restore My Soul - Meshivas Nefesh” a collection of teachings from Rebbe Nachman and his talmid Reb Noson, dealing with inner strength and optimism. They will also cover the subject matter of the recent Breslov publication “Hidden Treasures - How to Realize Your Potential”- by Rabbi Chaim Kramer with Reb Yitzchok Bell.

BRI in the UK will be based in North West London. There will be shiurim and classes, translation work of Breslov writings, as well as personal counselling based on Rebbe Nachman’s teachings.

In a world that bombards us with foreign ideologies and misguided reasoning, the teachings of Rebbe Nachman provide an honest and clear guide to a happy and fulfilled life.

BRI was formed in 1979 to accurately research and publish the works of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov and his talmidim. It has since produced over 60 titles including those in English, Hebrew, Spanish, Russian and French.

It is the intention of the BRI. UK to follow the shiurim in Golders Green with a series in Edgware.

Reb Yitchok can be contacted on 0796 223 3566.

Tonight's shiur

Tonight with Reb Yitzchok we continued learning Reb Nosson's writing in L.Tefilot about being young vs.being old. The text linked this concept with tefilin, and inour discussions we talked about how our davening should be different each time, due to both ourselves and the spiritual and physical worlds being different. Reb Yitzchok mentinoed the concept of "Rak HaYom" or "only today".

In other news, Reb Chaim Kramer is slated to come to London in a few weeks - watch this space....

The power of a chasidic story

I read these pages from the book "The garden of yearning", a commentary of Rebbe Nachman's story "The Lost Princess", elucidated by Rav Shalom Arush and translated by Rav Lazer Brody. It can be purchased for not much at http://lazerbrody.typepad.com/

Reb Yitzhock's Shiur moved to Tuesday

The weekly mens shiur, which I highly reccomend, has moved to same time and place, but shall be taking place IYH on Tuesday nights until further notice.
